My happily repaired sewing machine has inspired me to sew again. I made this crochet hook keeper this weekend. *Edit: I made a top flap for the hook keeper to keep the hooks from sliding out.

Crochet Font - StitchinCrochet
So, the first version of Stitchin Crochet is here! Last night I finished the first of three fonts for the "Stitchin" font family that will cover crochet, knitting, and knitted cables.
Here is a sample preview!
Note that this sample does not include all of the glyphs/symbols in the final font. In fact, it contains about half of them. Check out the keyboard layout for more of the symbols.

Brea Bag & Antimacassars for your arms
My sewing machine finally works again! After tweaking, oiling, re-threading, and some re-figuring, it's working like a charm again. So, I finished my cushions all five of them, and nearly finished the lining of my bag (except I made a bad cut, so I must restart). Pictured are three of the five.
I also finished the pieces for the Brea Bag, and am finalizing the designs of my grandmother's couch arm covers. Pictured are the WIPs for them.

Empanadas
Last week I made these lovely empanadas based on a recipe from epicurious.com. They came out really delicious. I used a pre-seasoned pair of steaks from the local super-market and goat cheese along with the specifications from their recipe. They came out excellent, incredibly flavorful, and I had one secret ingredient for the dough that some will cringe at, but dough flakiness shall not be compromised for the sake of our caloric intake! ((I used pig lard in the dough))
Also read the comments, lots of good tips.

Project: Storybook Dreams Emporium
I was commissioned to do a logo and business card design for Storybook Dreams Emporium, a unique party planning company in Miami, FL. The cards were to have a damask that reflects the whimsical parties that they design and create, and I must say it was a lot of fun. The parties that Storybook Dreams creates are incredibly elaborate and really beautiful. Check out Storybook Dreams here. And you can see the cards as they were while in progress.
